The M23 leader Sultani Makenga was born on December 25, 1973.
However, he quit school at the age of 17 and joined the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) •
He has fought in different Congolese rebel groups.
The Judge sentenced him to death in absentia in 2024.
