According to the 2025 Infotrak CountyTrak Performance Index, several Kenyan counties have excelled in the energy sector.
This fifth edition of the Index, conducted between October and December 2024, surveyed 39,795 respondents across all 47 counties, 290 constituencies, and 1,450 wards.
The Index evaluates county governments' performance on devolved functions, including energy.
While the detailed rankings for the energy sector are available in the full report, the index provides a comprehensive assessment of how counties are meeting their residents' energy needs.
This performance evaluation serves as a citizen scorecard, offering an objective measure of county governments' effectiveness in the energy sector.
