A 2025 Edelman Trust Barometer: Kenya Report reveals the level of trust in the United Nations (UN) globally, showing that the organization is trusted in 10 out of 28 countries measured.
Among these, Thailand (79 per cent) leads in trust, followed closely by China (78 per cent) and India (78 per cent).
African nations Nigeria (74 per cent) and Kenya (73 per cent) also rank high in confidence toward the UN.
Other notable mentions include Indonesia (72 per cent), UAE (67 per cent), Mexico (64 per cent), Singapore (60 per cent), and Sweden (60 per cent).
These findings highlight regional variations in trust, with developing nations displaying higher confidence in the UN. The report signals the need for the UN to strengthen its credibility in countries where trust remains low.
