Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday made good use of his gym routine and ran to catch a flight at the Wilson Airport for a final rally in Kiambu.

The Kenya Kwanza coalition was to close its campaign at Kiambu's Kirigiti stadium.

The Election Act requires aspirants to hold their last campaign rallies 48 hours to polling day. The deadline is 6pm.

Immediately after the Nyayo Stadium rally, Ruto went straight to the airport in a bid to rush to Kiambu before the deadline.

In a video shared on social media platforms, the DP is spotted running along the runway as he rushes towards a waiting chopper.

It was a busy day for the DP who earlier in the day led the Kenya Kwanza principles in a press conference at Karen, before heading to Narok county.

The Kenya Kwanza caravan then headed back to Nairobi to Nyayo stadium for the major rally.
