Kisumu ODM candidate Ruth Odinga has won the woman representative seat.

She garnered 304,419 votes against her closest competitor Valentine Anyango of the Movement for Democracy and Growth party (MDG) who got 80,117 votes.

She battled for the seat against three other candidates.

Ruth is the sister to Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Rose Auma was third with 36,692 votes. She vied as an Independent candidate.

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Filgona Atieno was third with 7, 825 votes.

From 2013 to 2017, Ruth served as Kisumu's deputy governor.

She won the ODM nomination ticket after getting 23,665 votes in the primaries.

Her then challenger Rose Omondi got 13,685 votes.
