A family in Suna West has claimed that their daughter was allegedly kidnapped by a woman who took her to Kajiado.

The 26-year-old woman, Faith Ogendo, was in Homa Bay when she went missing last week, according to her father.

“I communicated with her on the phone on Friday, and she appeared scared after telling me she is in a dark house on a hill in Kajiado West,” said her father Thomas Ogendo.

The father told the Star on Sunday night that his daughter realised she was in the Kajiado West after hearing her alleged kidnapper talking on her phone to some people who gave them the house direction.

Ogendo said her daughter told her that when she was taken to the house in Kajiado West, she saw some people who had covered their faces in red clothing materials visit her without speaking to her.

Faith is said to have told her father that her alleged kidnapper deleted her contacts from her phone and could not provide the same to her people.

“As she continued to give me information, I heard someone shouting at her and asking who she was talking to. The phone was snatched from her and we have not been able to talk to her again,” said her father.

Ogendo said the woman used other people to lure his daughter to Homa Bay town about two weeks ago and promised to offer her free computer courses.

He said they reported the matter at the Homa Bay Police Station on Friday.

The old man feared that his daughter could be killed for ritual purposes after she told him that those visiting her hide their faces in red clothing materials.

His father appealed to Kenyans who may be aware of his daughter's whereabouts to reach him on 0732017446 and 0726898557.

We attempted to call her daughter’s phone number, but our calls went unanswered.

The Star on Monday morning contacted Kajiado county commissioner Felix Watikila and his Kajiado West DCC Lydia Munyi over the matter.

A senior police officer from Kajiado West, who sought anonymity, wondered why the abductor allowed her victim to remain with her phone.
