Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai has appealed for the liberation of non-political supporters affiliated with Azimio.
On Friday, Alai urged the DCI, the National Police Service and the Inspector General of Police Japheth Koome to have them released.
"Kindly release all the non-politicians arrested. These innocent Kenyans have nothing to do with demonstrations," Alai said.
Alai also called for the release of Azimio Chief Raila Odinga's bodyguard Maurice Ogeta who was allegedly arrested on Wednesday morning.
He noted that police are also in custody of the Nairobi City County Assembly Fiscal Analyst Eric Otieno.
Also under custody is Nairobi City Assembly Budget Office Anthony Otsyula and the personal assistant to Nairobi City County Assembly Majority Leader Victor Obel.
However, Eric Otieno, and Anthony Otysula among others were arraigned before Milimani senior principal magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi on Thursday.
Further, Alai asked the Azimio leadership in the National Assembly not to focus all their energy on former Mungiki Leader Maina Njenga while ignoring the plight of their non-political allies that were arrested.
He said Azimio should not forget the non-political players and leave them to suffer.
Njenga was also arrested on Wednesday.
He also urged President William Ruto to come to their rescue and release the non-political actors.
"Kindly William Ruto, release these young men. They have done nothing wrong. Thank you," Alai pleaded.
