Kenya Power has announced that electricity has been restored in most parts of the country.
The company in their latest update said power supply had been restored to including parts on Nairobi.
In a statement, Kenya Power said power had since been restored in Kiambu Nyeri, Meru, Murang’a, Embu, Isiolo, Nanyuki, Kericho, Bomet, Nyandarua and Samburu.
Other areas where normal power supply had resumed include Kisumu, Vihiga,, Kakamega, Siaya, Busia, Migori, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Kitale, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot, Machakos and Makueni.
“We are working to restore the remaining areas and we shall update once the remaining generating plants are back,” Kenya Power said.
“We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience caused and we thank them for their patience,” the statement adds.
On Saturday, the Teachers Service Commission(TSC) announced disruptions on its online service systems due to the power instability.
The disruptions could affect TSC's services on the online platform including processing of payslips, applications for employment and promotions.
This follows a massive blackout that hit most parts of the country on Friday night following what Kenya Power said was a technical hitch on its major lines.
On Friday night, the country was plunged into darkness following a massive power outage that affected most parts of the country including Nairobi, Central, Rift Valley and Western regions.
Kenya Power, in a statement, attributed the outage that led to loss of bulk power to a system disturbance.
