A 28-year-old man was electrocuted as he repaired a car wash machine in Githurai 45, Nairobi.

The body of Joseph Musengi was discovered at the scene of the electrocution minutes after it had happened.

He was at the washing site trying to repair the machine when the incident happened at the weekend, police and the family said.

The deceased was a known mechanic in the area.

The body was later picked up from the scene and taken to the mortuary for autopsy and further probe.

Meanwhile, police in Awendo, Migori are investigating an incident in which a man was found dead with stab wounds.

The incident happened at Dede shopping centre and involved John Ojala Ochieng aged 35.

Police said the deceased had a confrontation with a known suspect before he stabbed Ochieng in the stomach.

The suspect later escorted him to Dede Health Center for treatment and later disappeared.

The deceased later succumbed to the injuries while at the medical facility.

The deceased body was moved to Migori County Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem.

Police say they are looking for the suspect for questioning.

The motive of the incident is yet to be known, police said.
