President William Ruto silently returned back to the country after his trip to the Republic of the Congo.

It is not clear when the Head of State jetted back into the country, but he on Sunday attended a church service in Uasin Gishu.

This has not seated well with Kenyans. 

Through the photos of Ruto that had been shared online, Kenyans on X could not keep how surprised they were and asked when the president got back from his trip. 

"Kwani alirudi saa ngapi?" X user by the name Gabriel Oguda asked. 

Another one, by the name Macha posted: "Kwani alirudi usiku wa manane?"

"When does he sleep? He is always outside," another one asked.

With the continuous uproar with his alleged numerous trips, the president has defended the move saying he has so far been able to secure several deals and partnerships in favour of the country.

Ruto while speaking in Uasin Gishu on Sunday announced that from his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, he got hold of 350,000 employment slots for Kenyans with the bilateral agreement expected to be signed in the next three weeks.

“There are some people who are making noise asking why I am going for the trips, that is my work as the President. I am Kenya’s chief agent and ambassador to plan how the country will move forward," he said. 

"Even the bishop has said he was in Nandi for a week and Mbeere for some days but when I just go for two days to secure jobs for Kenyans there is noise.”

Ruto attended the Three Basins on Biodiversity Ecosystems and Tropical Forests Summit.

The summit aims to implement the first global coalition to restore 350 million hectares of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems

On Saturday, while still in Congo, Brazzaville, the president held talks with the European Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Virginijus Sinkevicius.

Ruto said the meeting focused on accelerating the implementation of the Economic Partnership Agreement between Kenya and the EU.

“Kenya and the European Union share a strong commitment to environmental protection and conservation,” Ruto said.
