Azimio leader Raila Odinga will on Tuesday grace Kisii Governor Simba Arati's thanksgiving ceremony in Nyamache, Bobasi Sub County.
Raila, who is also the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader, will be accompanied by other top guns in the Azimio coalition.
The ODM boss will also use the occasion to launch the party's Kisii grassroots membership recruitment exercise.
Raila has been traversing his Nyanza base to lead the party's activation drive to net more members as he lays the ground for the 2027 polls.
He has in the last four days toured Siaya, Homa Bay, Migori and Nyamira counties as part of his aggressive campaign to revamp ODM.
On Tuesday, Raila will be in Nyamache grounds to launch a similar exercise that coincides with Arati's Thanksgiving ceremony.
Governor Arati said on Tuesday that the event will be graced by tens of national leaders including governors and a number of MPs.
"We have planned a thanksgiving service in Nyamache and we have invited a number of national leaders including our party leader," Arati told the Star.
This is the first time that Raila will be touring the Kisii region after he halted the countrywide protests against President William Ruto's administration.
He is expected to use Tuesday's event to articulate Azimio's position especially after the National Dialogue Committee released its report.
The report by the Kimani Ichung'wah and Kalonzo Musyoka-led panel has triggered a storm within the opposition with key leaders terming it as underwhelming.
There are reports that Raila will also hold talks with ODM leaders from Kisii in a bid to iron out emerging differences among them.
Some MPs and MCAs elected on the ODM ticket have been openly criticising Arati in what has caused a political standoff.
Arati has, however, vowed to continue serving the public saying those working on schemes against his administration have no justification.
"I am focused on delivering my social contract with the people of Kisii County who elected and gave us different mandates," he told the Star.
Tuesday's meeting is seen as a major political message by Arati to his critics that he has solid influence among the masses and that he enjoys the support of Raila.
Arati who is also the ODM national vice chairperson is seen as Raila's key pillar in consolidating Kisii County after some of the former loyalists joined President Ruto's camp.
He is expected to work closely with ODM national treasurer Timothy Bosire who hails from Nyamira to shore up the party's fortunes ahead of the next polls.
Raila was in Nyamira on Monday where he held a number of meetings and launched the county's membership recruitment exercise.
The drive comes at a time when Ruto's United Democratic Alliance(UDA), has intensified its grassroots mobilisation campaign in Raila's turfs.
The ODM boss is expected to scale up his campaigns in a bid to neutralise UDA's forays and tuck up his bastions.
