President William Ruto will on Thursday preside over the launch of the fourth medium-term plan at the State House from 9 am.

The plan prioritises the implementation of economic recovery strategies to re-position the economy on a steady and sustainable growth trajectory.

A medium-term plan typically refers to a strategic roadmap or set of goals and objectives that an organization, government, or individual sets for a period that is longer than short-term but shorter than long-term. It often covers a span of around three to five years.

Kalonzo to tour Kisii and Nyamira Counties.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka will be on a meet-the-people tour of Kisii and Nyamira counties.

Kalonzo is in a campaign blitz to inherit Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s strongholds as he positions himself as the best replacement for the ex-Prime Minister.

The former Vice President embarked on the three-day campaign in Nyanza, a traditional support base of the ODM leader.

Kakamega Investments Conference enters second day

The inaugural Kakamega Investments Conference has on Thursday entered its second day.

The Conference kicked off on Wednesday presided by President William Ruto and is set to end on Friday.

Azimio leader Raila Odinga will however skip the Conference as he focuses on AU job campaigns.

Raila will instead be represented by National Assembly Minority Leader and Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi.

Hearing of case against new health laws proceeds

The hearing of the case challenging the implementation of the new Social Health Insurance Act proceeds today before a three-judge bench of the High Court.

Justices Alfred Mabeya, Robert Limo, and Fridah Mugambi on Wednesday heard the petitioner's complaints on how the Social Health Insurance Act risks locking out a section of Kenyans from accessing crucial health services on account of mandatory registration which they term unconstitutional.

The hearing enters its second day today.

EX-Kenya Bureau of Standards MD Bernard Njiraini's case

Former Kenya Bureau of Standards MD Bernard Njiraini and his co-accused in the alleged theft of Sh20 million condemned sugar will today face fresh charges after the state successfully sought to amend the charge sheet.

Njiraini was in May last year charged alongside seven others with conspiracy to steal condemned sugar worth Sh20 million.
