The organisers of the Limuru III conference have launched an umbrella body dubbed Haki Coalition.
The coalition is made up of more than 26 political parties from the Mount Kenya region.
Speaking during the occasion, the Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni said that Uhuru Kenyatta will be the leader of the community as he has no political ambitions.
He said that the Haki Coalition will bring all the leaders of the Mount Kenya region together irrespective of party affiliations.
Kioni said that the Mount Kenya region should stand united or risk disintegration.
"We now have an umbrella body dubbed Haki Coalition, it will bring all parties in Mount Kenya together and we will be speaking in one voice," Kioni said.
He noted that they will hold another Limuru IV conference in time to come as they traverse across other counties for consultation.
Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua on her part said that former President Uhuru Kenyatta must be respected.
She urged Ruto to respect Uhuru the way he would wish to be respected once he retires.
"We would like to request you to respect Uhuru as our leader, leave him alone as Mount Kenya region we are fully behind him," she said.
She noted that the people of the Mount Kenya region will continue working together for the sake of the community.
Former Kiambaa MP aspirant Damaris Wambui Waiganjo also warned leaders who have disrespected Uhuru.
She said that the leaders across the Mt Kenya region should rally behind Uhuru as the spokesperson of the community.
"Uhuru Kenyatta is our leader and people on the other side should know that, we are here to talk of unity and we must be united for the sake of our people "Damaris Waiganjo said.
Former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu pleaded with the community to forgive him for misleading them to vote for President William Ruto.
He further pleaded for forgiveness from former Head of State Uhuru Kenyatta.
"I'm sorry and would request my people to forgive me,I misled them to vote for the UDA party,"Waititu said.
