A manager with one of the supermarkets in Naivasha town was killed in a suspected robbery.

The body of Hassan Salim, 38, was found in a pool of blood in his house long after he had been killed.

He had left his place of work at a mall in the town on Tuesday evening before he was found dead the following day, police said.

Police said his colleagues were concerned that Salim had not reported to work and was not responding to his calls.

They decided to go to his house at the Musaka complex building within Naivasha Township.

On reaching his house, they found it locked from the inside with a padlock but with blood spots on the door.

This prompted them to call the police who broke the door and found the body lying on the floor of his bedroom and in a pool of blood.

Police said the body had several deep cuts on the head. It is suspected the man was attacked in the house.

Police also suspect he was attacked as he walked to his house.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.

Elsewhere, police are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found near his house in Ngerenya, Kilifi County.

The man had a deep cut in the back of his head when the body was discovered on Tuesday evening, police said.

The motive of the murder is yet to be established, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary for autopsy.

He was identified as Charles Changawa.

Police said he was killed at his home. Investigations into the murder are ongoing.

And in Ndere, Siaya County, a man was stabbed to death during a funeral vigil.
