Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale on Monday hosted Sweden's State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Jan Knutsson.
The meeting was held at the Ministry of Defence Headquarters in Nairobi.
According to Duale, the discussion focused on strengthening bilateral defence relations.
He revealed key discussions included support for peacekeeping missions in the Africa Great Lakes and Horn of Africa regions, where both nations have been active.
"Additionally, we also examined the European Union's role in Somalia post-ATMIS, considering its potential to ensure sustainable peace and security," Duale said.
The Swedish delegation led by Knutsson included Ambassador Caroline Vicini, Deputy Head of Mission Helge Flard and Deputy Director for Africa Fredrick Kirst.
Lazarus Wafula and third secretary Philes Sagini from the Kenyan side were also present.
