Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has rubbished claims of a fallout between President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.

In a video seen by the Star, Babu Owino claimed that there is no fight between the President and DP alleging that it is a political strategy.

"I want to state clearly that there is no fight here, these are gimmicks," he said.

The lawmaker claimed the recent rumoured fight between the two leaders is a scheme to ensure the Kenya Kwanza government retains its Mt Kenya support base.

The MP said the DP will still team up with Ruto in 2027 adding the alleged fallout will not amount to anything.

He went on to address the people of Mount Kenya region encouraging them to join his political side.

Claims of Ruto and Gachagua falling out emerged after a war of words ensued between the DP and perceived close allies of President Ruto.

Gachagua had fingered a section of leaders close to Ruto for orchestrating division in Mt Kenya saying they will not succeed.

The war of words saw the President issue sentiments perceived to be contradicting those issued by the DP, further fuelling speculations on the state of their relationship.
