The memorial Service was held on Monday at Faith Evangelistic Ministry Church.

Hundreds of Christians turned up to eulogise a man who has been at the helm of the Jubilee Christian Church for years.

The memorial service was graced by First Lady Rachel Ruto and Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi among other leaders.

Mama Rachel termed Bishop Kiuna as a bold man who undertook every assignment with courage and dedication.

"Bishop Kiuna was a pioneer who took tasks beyond his age and experience and delivered to expectations," she said.

Mama Rachel said the Kenyans celebrate the life of a great man even as they mourn his passing.

She said Kenyans honour Bishop Kiuna's invaluable contributions to the Body of Christ and his investment in the nation.

"The seeds he has sown will grow into mighty trees of life and inspiration for many years to come. My sincere condolences go to my sister, Rev. Cathy Kiuna, the children, grandchildren, family, friends, and the JCC family. Fare thee well, Bishop Allan Kiuna."

Pastor Dorcas Rigathi described Bishop Kiuna as a man of faith who served God unconditionally.

Pastor Dorcas narrated memories of the service of Bishop Kiuna even when he was unwell.

"If there is anything I have learnt from this brother (Bishop Kiuna) is faith, faith in this God," Pastor Dorcas said.

She called on the church to emulate Bishop Kiuna’s faith in God, promising to stand with the wife Reverend Kathy Kiuna and the children.

Reverend Kathy described her husband as an epitome of strength who battled cancer with hope.

While eulogising Kiuna, Kathy said that her husband had a premonition of his death.

"He knew he was going but I think we could never accept it and God knew he cannot even try to come to me and ask whether he can go because he knows the answer. My best friend? I have known him more than I have been alone, I've been with him more than I have been alone. I don't know how to do life without this man," Kathy said.

"He said, I want to go home and he was saying in front of us, He said I want to go home and I told him he was already home. Because we were in the house, he said he wanted to go home."

Kathy said that after a while Bishop Allan could tell her that a host of angels were coming to take him.

According to Kathy, the family kept faith and resisted the premonitions until Bishop Allan stopped mentioning it.

Kathy prayed to God for strength saying that it was a tough moment for her and the family.

She asked the Church to pray for her family through these trying times.
