AG office advertises 70 vacancies for pupillage programme

The Office of The Attorney General has announced 70 vacancies for students to undertake their pupillage programme for six months.

In an advertisement in Tuesday’s copy of My Gov, Solicitor General Shadrack Mose said the programme will commence in January 2025.

To qualify, applicants should have a Bachelor of Law (LLB) Degree from a recognised university.

The students also need to have a copy of their National Identity Card, a letter from the Kenya School of Law recommending to proceed to pupillage and, copies of academic certificates and testimonials.

Mose added that the applicants should demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.

They should also demonstrate a proactive attitude, willingness to learn and be part of a team handling challenging assignments within timelines, and be computer literate.

“Interested and qualified persons are requested to download and fill the pupillage application form,” Mose said.

Candidates have been advised against attaching any document to the application form.

The Office of the AG instead noted that all details requested in the advertisement should be filled in the form.

Mose said only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted.

The shortlisted candidates will be required to produce originals of their original IDs, academic certificates and letters from KSL recommending to proceed to pupillage during interviews.
