Kenya Power has listed areas in three counties scheduled for power interruption on Wednesday.
The areas will experience power cuts from 9am to 5pm.
Counties to be affected include Nairobi, Kakamega and Busia.
Parts of Nairobi to be affected are located in Muthaiga.
These are Brookside Groove, Matundu Lane, School Lane, Clarence Hotel and adjacent customers.
Other areas to be affected are located in Loresho.
These are the University of Nairobi, Kaumoni, Loresho Primary and Secondary Schools, Shamba Café and adjacent customers.
Areas to be affected in Kakamega county are located in Shimanyiro.
They will also experience the power outage between 9am and 5pm.
These are Otiende Estate, Joyland, Rosterman, Mukhonje, Enjinja, Eshishiru, Shibuli, Emasai Mission, Shimanyiro and Emaungu.
Kenya Power said parts of Busia county will also be affected by the scheduled power interruption.
Customers to be affected are those within Busia town, Khetias supermarket, DC's office, County Commissioners office, KPLC offices, Kisii East, Burumba and the adjacent customers.
Kenya Power performs periodic gridline system upgrades to ensure optimum performance.
"An interruption of service to electric lines to permit work that cannot be performed while the lines are live with electric current. Whenever possible, affected customers are notified beforehand," Kenya Power states on its website.
