As the nation mourns the death of comedian Tabitha Gatwiri, Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has penned a heartfelt tribute for the deceased.
Taking to his social media account, Kalonzo recalled how he met Gatwiri a few years ago, describing her as a vibrant and knowledgeable person.
"My heart hurts as I pen this Condolence Message to the family of Tabitha Gatwiri," Kalonzo said.
"She was a young woman determined to change the world for the better with her ideas. Our discussions on the State of the Nation and what her generation could achieve, given the opportunity, were mind-provoking."
Kalonzo recalled that their last discussion centred on adding her diversity to his communications team.
Condoling Gatwiri's family and friends, the former Vice President noted that God Almighty had a different plan for Gatwiri and that their path had been irretrievably altered.
He expressed confidence that Gatwiri's loved ones will come to terms with the defining loss and endeavour in spirit and purpose to not only remember her gifted soul, but honour Gatwiri in the new path ahead.
"To Gatwiri's family, and Brian in particular, know that I grieve with and for you. Know that Gatwiri was an incandescent soul; an incredible gift that God graced us with, even for a short time," he said.
"Our Almighty God has Gatwiri now. May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
Gatwiri, 29, passed away on Thursday.
Her family and friends said Gatwiri passed on after a short illness. Police said her body was discovered in her house, adding that they had launched an investigation into the cause of the death even though she had complained of illness.
Gatwiri’s body was moved to the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
So far, content creators and influencers have mourned the young creator, expressing their shock at her demise.
Kenyans and her fans have also taken to social media to mourn the late with many describing her as a person with a lively personality.
