Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has said that the government of Kenya, under the leadership of President William Ruto is committed to ensuring every part of the country is developed.

Speaking on Wednesday, Kindiki said President William Ruto is working hard to guarantee this to all parts of Kenya.

He stated that the President has also put his best foot forward to ensure resources are available to revive all stalled projects in the country.

“The Government is committed to ensure every part of the country develops. Kenya is one, and every citizen has a right to development and services.

“President William Ruto is doing his best to ensure the availability of resources to revive all the pending infrastructure projects. We are all here to assist him in the implementation of the Government's economic transformation agenda and our unity as a people is critical,” Kindiki said.

He spoke during a meeting with Isiolo County leaders including Governor Abdi Guyo and Woman Representative Mumina Bonaya, at his official residence in Karen.

Kindiki said the state will operationalise all the gazetted administrative units before the end of this financial year and establish more units to bring essential services closer to the people.

The Deputy President noted that security is a game-changer in Isiolo County, as well as other parts of the country that have previously had cases of insecurity perpetrated by bandits, terrorists and other organized criminals.

“From the heavy investment in the purchase of modern security equipment for our frontline officers, we are confident that the areas will be completely pacified and open them up for economic growth and development.”

During the meeting, the Isiolo leaders requested for fast tracking of the operationalization of Oldonyiro Sub-County by end of the year, pending the appointment of a new Interior Cabinet Secretary.

They also stressed the need to complete ongoing road projects in Isiolo CBD, with an extra 10 km extension to boost connectivity and economic growth.

“To address security concerns, we advocated for National Police Reservist (NPR) recruitment across Isiolo. We also emphasized the importance of expanding power infrastructure to underserved areas and improving network connectivity in remote areas like Daaba and Iresaboru to enhance communication,” Guyo said.

The two leaders also congratulated Kindiki on his ascent to Deputy President.
