Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has emphasized the importance of collaboration between government institutions, independent agencies, and other stakeholders
He made these remarks during a consultative meeting held at Harambee House Annex in Nairobi.
The meeting brought together members of the National Assembly from across the political divide and various regions of the country.
"The focus of the discussion was aligning government programs, projects, and policies with the priority needs of Kenyans to ensure efficient and effective service delivery," said Kindiki.
Among the Members of Parliaments present were Samuel Atandi (Alego Usonga), Mugambi Rindikiri (Buuri), Walter Owino (Awendo), Irene Njoki (Bahati), Abdi Shurie (Balambala), Marianne Kitany (Aldai), Alfa Miruka (Bomachoge Chache), Linet Chepkorir (Woman Rep, Bomet), Richard Yegon (Bomet East), Charles Onchoke (Bonchari).
Also present during the meeting were Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Patrick Osero ( Borabu), Raphael Wanjala (Budalangi), Kenneth Tungule (Ganze), Amina Siyad (Woman Rep, Garissa), Wanami Wamboka (Bumula), Catherine Wambilianga (Woman Rep, Bungoma), Yakub Adow (Bura), Kibet Komingoi ( Bureti) and Farah Maalim (Dadaab)
The discussions centred on identifying critical issues in government operations and devising strategies to address them.
Kithure Kindiki’s recent appointment as Deputy President marked a significant milestone in his career, transitioning from his previous role as Cabinet Secretary for Interior.
During his period at the Interior docket, Kindiki spearheaded key reforms in security and governance, including enhanced coordination of national and regional security teams and improved disaster response mechanisms.
His leadership in the Ministry was characterized by a hands-down approach, particularly in tackling pressing issues such as drought, counterterrorism, and law enforcement efficiency.
Under his watch, the Ministry also streamlined intergovernmental relations to foster service delivery at the grassroots level.
As Deputy President, Kindiki pledged to build on his track record by promoting a government culture of collaboration, transparency, and efficiency.
