Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will on Tuesday hold a press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Headquarters as Kenya marks 60 years of diplomatic excellence.

Mudavadi will be accompanied by PS Foreign Affairs Korir Sing’Oei,  PS Diaspora Affairs Roseline Njogu,  PS Trade Alfred K’Ombudo and UN Director General Zainab Hawa Bangura.

The briefing will start at 11 am.

CJ Koome to preside over opening of ELC climate conference

Chief Justice Martha Koome will today preside over the official opening of the Environment and Land Court (ELC) Climate Justice Conference at Moi University, School of Law, Annex Campus. 

The conference hosted by the Environment and Land Court starts on November 26 and ends on 28, 2024.

The ELC is the guardian of human and environmental rights and the conference aims to play its role in ensuring justice amidst the growing chaos of climate change.

The conference also seeks to focus on the Judiciary’s role in addressing the emerging issue of climate change and its impact on lives, the environment, the enjoyment of human rights and sustainable development.

The Conference whose theme is: “The Role of the Courts in Remedying Climate Change Chaos: A Call for Distributive and Procedural Justice, will be held in partnership with other institutions.

The Conference targets 1,500 participants drawn from the Executive, Legislature, Judiciary, court users, duty bearer institutions, civil society, non-governmental organisations, international organisations, development organisations, development partners, the private sector, researchers, policy makers and scholars.

Evangelical and Pentecostal church leaders to address media

The Kenya Coalition of Church Alliances and Ministries (KCCAM) will today address the media by the Evangelical and Pentecostal Church leaders.

The same will be held at the Redeemed Gospel Church- Liberty Christian Centre at 12:45 pm.

French minister to preside over KFS Digital Radio Network

French Minister of State for Francophonie and International Partnerships Thani Mohamed Soilihi will today preside over the KFS Digital Radio Network and Early Fire Video Detection First Call at the KFS Headquarters at 10 am.

The French Minister will be accompanied by Environment, Climate Change and Forestry Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, Ambassador of France to Kenya and Somalia Arnaud Suquet, Forestry Principal Secretary Mugambi Gitonga and the Chief Conservator of Forests Alex Lemarkoko.
