Moja Expressway announces traffic disruption at Mlolongo toll station

Motorists using the Expressway have been advised to exercise caution as they approach the Mlolongo and Sykimau entrances.

This is after a PSV accident occurred at the exit of SGR station, leading to traffic disruption.

The incident has led to the temporary closure of the Mlolongo Entrance Toll Station and the Syokimau Entrance Toll Station, located opposite Dinlas Pharma.

"Please be advised that due to a PSV accident at the exit of SGR Station, Mlolongo Entrance toll station and Syokimau toll station (opposite Dinlas Pharma) are temporarily closed," Moja Expressway Company said in a statement.

MOJA Expressway, the operator of the Nairobi Expressway, confirmed that teams are already on-site managing traffic flow and ensuring the safety of road users.

"Our team is currently on site working to control traffic and assure a safe commute to all motorists," it said.

The company urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to the recommended speed limit of 80 km/h.  

Motorists are also being reminded to maintain lane discipline to ease congestion and support ongoing efforts to manage traffic.

The temporary closure, MOJA Expressway clarified, is a necessary measure to ensure the safety of motorists while clearing the accident site.
