Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura will give an update on matters of national importance at the Kenya International Conference Centre on Monday at 10.30 am.

The Kenya Kwanza administration’s achievement in the education and health sector will be among the issues.

Mwaura said the government has achieved an unprecedented milestone in teacher recruitment, with a record 76,000 teachers recruited within two years.

The government has spent Sh37 billion towards the recruitment of 56,000 teachers on permanent and pensionable terms while 20,000 teachers are engaged on an internship basis.

EACC to lead this year’s International Anti-Corruption Day

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission will lead the commemoration of this year’s International Anti-Corruption Day.

The event will be held at Strathmore University in Nairobi.

The day is marked annually to take stock of the progress made in the fight against corruption, challenges encountered, lessons learnt and opportunities for reform.

KFCB to host stakeholder’s engagement forum

The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) will host a Creatives in Arts and Film Literacy Stakeholders' Engagement Forum at the Edge Convention Centre, South C in Nairobi at 9 am.

Mudavadi to preside over launch of Digital Hubs in Kakamega

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will preside over the launch of Digital Hubs in Kakamega and Shianda Polytechnics from 8 am.

The Ministry of Information Communication and Digital Economy announced that it will roll out Digital Superhighway Infrastructure towards the realisation of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.

The move will ensure the construction of about 100,000 kilometres of national fibre optic connectivity and the installation of 40 digital hubs in the country.

In her speech read during the official opening ceremony of the 2024 Public Relations Society of Kenya Annual Summit at Tom Mboya University in Homa Bay, Information Cabinet Secretary Margaret Ndung’u said 40 digital hubs and health facilities will be connected to the internet by the end of the program.
