Sunny and dry weather conditions are expected to prevail over most parts of the country, the weatherman has said.
This includes Highlands West and East of the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, South Rift Valley, the Coastal region and the Southeastern lowlands.
Kenya Met added that average daytime (maximum) temperatures of more than 30°C will be experienced over the Coast, Northeastern, North-western and parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin and Southeastern lowlands
Average night-time (minimum) temperatures will be less than 10°C in some parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, Central and South Rift Valley and Southeastern lowlands.
There will be sunny intervals over Lake Victoria Basin, the Central and South Rift Valley and parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley.
The areas covered include Nandi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya, Busia, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, Bomet, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori and Narok Counties.
The department said mornings will mainly have sunny intervals though a few areas over the South Rift Valley and Lake Victoria Basin may experience rains on Thursday.
Occasional afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected over a few places.
Nights are expected to be partly cloudy though a few areas in Narok and Lake Victoria Basin may experience occasional showers.
The North Rift Valley and parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, being Uasin-Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Baringo and West-Pokot Counties, will have sunny intervals during the day while nights are likely to be partly cloudy.
Kenya Met said North-western Kenya (Turkana and Samburu Counties) will have sunny days and partly cloudy nights.
The Highlands East of the Rift Valley (including Nairobi County) will have sunny intervals in the morning.
The areas including Nyandarua, Nyeri, Laikipia, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi and Nairobi Counties will have occasional afternoon showers.
The weatherman said nights are expected to be partly cloudy though a few areas may have showers on Friday.
In North-eastern Kenya (Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo Counties), sunny intervals are expected during the day while nights are likely to be partly cloudy.
Sunny conditions will prevail during the days in the southeastern lowlands (Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita-Taveta Counties as well as the inland parts of Tana-River County).
However, a few areas may have occasional light showers in the afternoons.
Kenya Met said nights are expected to be partly cloudy though a few areas in Kajiado, especially those bordering Tanzania may experience occasional showers.
At the Coast region (Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale Counties as well as the coastal parts of Tana River County), sunny intervals are expected to prevail during the day.
However, a few areas may experience occasional morning showers which may extend to early afternoon. Nights are expected to be partly cloudy.
