Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi on Tuesday recorded a statement on his son's alleged abduction.
Muturi submitted his written statement at Kilimani Police Station in Nairobi at around 1 pm.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had asked Muturi to record a statement over an incident in which his son was last year allegedly abducted by unknown people.
Muturi had complained that since the incident, no one in the security sector had ever explained to him what happened and why.
The DCI reaffirmed its commitment to resolving abduction cases across the country, amid mounting pressure from the public and government officials.
Muturi called for immediate action to address the alarming rise in abductions of young Kenyans.
Muturi spoke of his personal ordeal following the abduction of his son, Leslie Muturi, in June 2024.
South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro has since issued an ultimatum to Muturi demanding his resignation and apology for painting the government in bad picture.
Muturi reacted by daring his critics to make their word that they would impeach him.
The CS without naming names said that their sentiments did not warrant his response from people who knew little about politics.
