The Kenya Meteorological Department (Met) has warned of extremely hot days in the period from Tuesday, January 21, to Monday, January 27.
In a weather forecast, the weatherman said most parts of the country will have sunny and dry conditions.
There are, however, parts that may experience rains later in the week.
The areas include the Highlands West and East of the Rift Valley, Nairobi, Lake Victoria Basin, South Rift Valley, and South-eastern lowlands.

There will be chilly nights, with temperatures below 10°C in the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and South-eastern lowlands.
Met also warned of strong southeasterly winds exceeding 25 knots (12.5 m/s) in parts of Turkana, Marsabit and Garissa counties.
In the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central and South Rift Valley and parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, sunny intervals are expected to prevail during the day.
However, a few areas are likely to experience morning rains and afternoon showers and thunderstorms towards the end of the forecast period.
Nights are expected to be partly cloudy, though a few areas may experience showers towards the end of the forecast period.
The affected areas are Nandi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya, Busia, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, Bomet, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori and Narok Counties.
The North Rift Valley and parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley (Uasin-Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Baringo and West-Pokot Counties) sunny intervals are expected during the day while nights are likely to be partly cloudy.
In the North-western Kenya (Turkana and Samburu Counties), sunny conditions are expected during the day while nights are likely to be partly cloudy.
The Highlands East of the Rift Valley (including Nairobi County) (Nyandarua, Nyeri, Laikipia, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi and Nairobi Counties) will mainly have sunny intervals prevailing during the day.
However, Kenya Meet said, a few areas are likely to experience morning rains and afternoon showers towards the end of the forecast.

In the North-eastern Kenya (Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo Counties), sunny intervals are expected during the day while nights are likely to be partly cloudy.
The South-eastern lowlands (Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita-Taveta Counties as well as the inland parts of Tana-River County), will have sunny intervals expected to prevail during the day.
However, a few areas are likely to experience morning rains and afternoon showers towards the end of the forecast period.

The Coast (Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale Counties as well as the coastal parts of Tana[1]River County), sunny intervals are expected to persist throughout most of the day, with a few areas potentially experiencing light morning showers.
