Chief of Defence Forces Charles Kahariri on Wednesday toured the Talanta Stadium construction site at Jamhuri Grounds, Nairobi.
The CDF was in the company of other senior officials from the Kenya Defence Forces.
The visit aimed to assess the progress of the project whose capacity is expected to be 60,000.
General Kahariri commended the achievements so far and encouraged the contractors to continue delivering a world-class facility that aligns with the international standards set by FIFA.
He expressed his confidence that the project would meet its deadline.
“I am pleased with the ongoing construction works and I commend you all for your excellent work. I am confident we will meet the December 2025 deadline with the high standards we are known for,” he stated.
The Talanta Stadium, once completed, is set to host the African Cup of Nation games scheduled for June and July 2027.
Other stadiums to play host are Nyayo Stadium and Moi International Sports Centre.
