People’s Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua has welcomed lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi after she unblocked him on social media platform X.

In a statement, Karua said she blocked Ahmednasir because of his sustained criticism, but that is now a thing of the past.

She went on to say that despite the increased intolerance, she is ready to listen to the senior counsel despite how much they will disagree in views relating to certain fundamental things.

“In this age of heightened intolerance, I am ready to withstand all storms so welcome back @ahmednasirlaw I will hear you however much I disagree with some of your views,” Karua said on X.

Her remarks were in response to Ahmednasir’s post saying that he could not believe that the former Justice Minister had blocked him because of his views on the Judiciary.

He added that for many issues he has always held the same views as Karua.

“Hon SC Martha Karua finally unblocked me. I can't believe she blocked in the first place just because of certain views I expressed about Judiciary. And by the way, on most issues, I see through the same lens/prism as Hon Karua.”

Ahmednasir has been a big critic of the way all arms of government operate, including certain individuals.

He has always been vocal and shares his perspectives on the many issues affecting the country on social media.
