Assistant Superintendent of Police, Stephen Mwangi on Wednesday uncovered the extensive web of communication between the seven accused persons before and after the brutal murder of former Kabete MP George Muchai.

In a gripping testimony, Mwangi revealed that the accused had been in constant contact, with some exchanging over 150 phone calls during the crucial days leading up to and following Muchai's tragic death.

Those on trial over his murder are Eric Isabwa alias chairman, Raphael Kimani alias Kim Butcher, Mustapha Kimani alias Musto, Stephen Astiva alias Chokore, Jane Wanjiru alias Shiro, Margaret Njeri, and Simon Wambugu.

They have, however, denied the charges. Mwangi, the prosecution's thirty-seventh witness, presented a detailed communication analysis matrix before trial Judge Kanyi Kimondo, illustrating the intricate partners of phone calls exchanged between the accused from February 1 to February 10, 2015.

The report, which was produced as an exhibit before the court, painted a stark picture of the conspiracy that may have culminated in Muchai's untimely demise. Mwangi, who oversees communication analysis and data integration, explained that he extracted data from the mobile number of the seven accused persons.

He highlighted a key connection between Raphael and Asitiva, who exchanged phone calls 100 times before, during, and after Muchai's death.

The analysis also revealed that Jane Wanjiru, the fifth accused, had engaged in 150 phone calls with the third accused, Stephen Asitiva.

The witness proceeded to produce a detailed analysis between all the accused persons, proving that they all engaged on the phone before, during, and after Muchais's death.

"Another number that came at play is one belonging to Ngatia, a Prosecution witnesses involved in a robbery the same day," said the witness Mwangi told the Judge that this phone was traced to Simon gichamba, accused 7.

He said the line that he was using had been inserted in a phone belonging to Ngatia. "Based on that trace, we began the probe. And one arrest led to another, "said the witness.

Hearing proceeds tomorrow (Thursday)
