Police in Kericho are investigating a bizarre incident in which a man was beheaded and his head placed in a sufuria at a home in the Kipkelion area.

The deceased’s body was found dumped in a culvert a kilometer away from the home where the head was found.
The head was found in a sufuria at a home near Koisagat, while the other body was found in the culvert at Kipkomwet village.

Kericho County Police Commander James Ngetich had a hectic time as he rushed to the area to control the situation.
“We are at the scene investigating the incident," said Ngetich.
A woman at the home where the head was found said she woke up early today and went out of her house to wash her utensils, including sufuria’s which she had left out overnight.
As she tried to move one of the sufuria's, she discovered that it was unusually heavy. Since it was still dark she rushed back to the house to get a torch and check out what was on the sufuria.
It was then that she discovered there was a head of a human being in the sufuria. She raised an alarm and attracted villagers to the area, who were shocked by the discovery.
Area Peter Kurgat said that shortly later they were alerted of a the body of a man found in the neighbouring village without a head.
