“The Coast, for many years has been abandoned, discriminated, despised and forgotten. By the will of God, this is the government to transform the Coast, and the time to change it,” Ruto said.
He assured Coast residents that not once will they be left behind as they have been over the years.

The Head of State said he will ensure the Coast develops like other parts of Kenya.
“The Coast will not by any means be left behind. Discrimination, exclusion and the looking down upon of the past will end. You will no longer be despised, you will not be excluded and you will not be left behind anymore. The coast will be the same as the rest of Kenya," Ruto said.
“If there is something I must do for the coast region, even if you wish to stay outside or behind I will not allow you. You can't stay behind whether you like it or not. We will walk together.”
