Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo on Saturday led an inspection visit to assess the progress of key national government development projects in Kuria East Subcounty, Migori County.
The visit included an evaluation of the Kegonga Cluster Water and Sanitation Project at Nyamache, which is set to provide clean and reliable water to local communities.
Infrastructure development was a key focus, with significant progress noted on the Taranganya-Senta-Ntimaru-Nyamtiro OSBP-Kegonga-Kugitimo-Loliondo B1 Road.

It is a major transport link that will enhance connectivity and trade.
The JNC Stage construction and tarmacking at Kebarishia will improve mobility and ease access for residents.
A major milestone of the visit was the commissioning and handover of the completed Kebaroti Water Supply Project at Kebaroti Secondary School.

The project was implemented in partnership with the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA).
The PS was joined by Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko, Migori Senator Eddy Oketch, MPs Peter Masara (Suna West) and Kitayama Maisori (Kuria East), LBDA Managing Director Wycliffe Ochiaga, and other regional leaders.
The PS said the water projects reaffirm the national government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure, improving water access, and driving development in Kuria.
