Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen held a meeting on Thursday with the Senate Committee on National Security, Defence, and Foreign Relations to discuss key security strategies and policy reforms.
During the session, Murkomen updated the committee on the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to enhance national security.
The CS emphasized the importance of collaboration with the Senate to strengthen security measures, promote accountability, and implement legal reforms.
“The Senate Committee on National Security, Defence, and Foreign Relations plays a crucial role in ensuring good governance, security, and stability in our country,” Murkomen stated in a tweet on X.
The delegation was led by Committee Chairperson Senator Fatuma Dullo.
Other members of the Committee who were present were the Vice Chairperson Prof Tom Ojienda (Kisumu), Julius Murgor (West Pokot), Steve Lelegwe (Samburu), Joseph Kamau (Lamu), Parliamentary and Ministry staff.
