This is part of Nacada’s major crackdown on drug trafficking and the illicit liquor trade across the country.

Nacada Chief Executive Officer Anthony Omerikwa, in a statement to the press, said the operation was launched following a tip-off, leading to a raid on a notorious drug dealer’s hideout in Nyamonye Market.

“This operation marks a significant victory in our relentless war against drug abuse and the illegal alcohol trade,” said Omerikwa.

“We will not allow unscrupulous traders to destroy the lives of our youth.”

The raid on the suspect’s home, business premises, and rental houses led to the discovery of 4,600 sticks of suspected cannabis sativa and 11 brooms of suspected bhang, which are awaiting weighing and analysis.
