The trio were injured after two sides—those opposed to Speaker Ann Kiusya's impeachment and those pushing for the same—clashed on Tuesday.
Those injured included Majority Whip Lucky Nzau, who was rushed to the hospital while bleeding; Majority Leader Nicholas Nzioka and Deputy Speaker Stephen Mwanthi, who sustained minor injuries.
When the fight broke out in Kiusya's boardroom, security personnel whisked her to her adjacent office, where she was locked in to evade the clashes.
Heavy security that had been deployed at the assembly owing to the sensing of the chaos moved in very fast to contain the unrest.
They, however, met some resistance from the agitated MCAs, who insisted the speaker must go.
The incident was occasioned by the action of some of the MCAs seeking removal of the speaker, who had prepared another fresh motion to exit her after the earlier attempt a couple of weeks ago was thwarted by a court order.
Tension reigned at the assembly buildings as the huge contingent of anti-riot police officers combed the compound.
The MCAs fighting for the removal of the speaker kept on singing solidarity songs, paralysing office activities at the assembly.
They vowed not to leave anything to chance until the speaker is ousted.
The speaker was still locked up inside her office under security by press time. The MCAs opposed to her ouster maintained she was going nowhere as they would do everything possible to defend her.
