The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced open slots in at least 26 programmes at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

The 26 courses are a mix of both Diploma and Certificate qualifications for any interested persons.

The vacancies will be open for application until April 30, 2025.

“Good news to applicants looking for KMTC courses. Following the recent placement of students to KMTC, 26 programmes still have limited vacancies,” the placement service announced on X.

It said the slots remain unfilled even after the recent placement was concluded.

“Their minimum requirements and available KMTC campuses are listed on the KUCCPS Student’s Portal (http://students.kuccps.net).”

The open courses included Certificate in Community Health Assistant, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Emergency Technician, Medical Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine and Public Health.

Diploma courses include Community Health, Emergency Medical Technology, Health Counselling, Health Insurance Management, Health Promotion, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Social Work, Mortuary Science and Nutrition and Dietetics

Other Diploma programmes include Occupational Therapy, Orthopaedic Technology, Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Radiography and Imaging and Speech and Language Therapy.

In January, KUCCPS announced that previous Form Four leavers who sat for KCSE between 2000 and 2024 can apply for placement in KMTC and TVETS.

Students were advised to apply for TVETS and KMTC campuses within their localities to make operating from their homes cheaper.

“Students applying for degrees and TTC should exercise patience, as dates for their applications will follow thereafter and will be announced,’’ KUCCPS said.

KUCCPS applications can only be done through their portal.
