The Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration, Dr Raymond Omollo, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the country’s security sector.

Speaking during a Sabbath Day and Thanksgiving service held at the National Youth Service (NYS) Headquarters in Ruaraka, PS Omollo emphasised that the welfare of officers across the National Youth Service, National Police Service, Kenya Prisons Service, and other security agencies remains a top priority for the administration.

He commended the NYS for its instrumental role in moulding young people into disciplined and responsible citizens.

“Those who have gone through NYS carry themselves with admirable discipline. We encourage the leadership of NYS to continue their critical work of nurturing the youth who will lead and build this nation,” he said.

“As parents, we are responsible for raising children who are respectful not just to their peers, but also to teachers, elders, and the broader community,” he noted.

“We must ensure our children are brought up in the ways of the Lord so they grow into responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.”
