At a memorial ceremony in Jerusalem today, relatives of those killed in last year's 7 October Hamas attacks interrupted Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu as he spoke during a live broadcast.

About 1,200 people were killed and 251 others taken hostage on 7 October 2023, when Hamas gunmen crossed the border from Gaza.

A clip from Israeli broadcaster Kan shows Netanyahu standing silently at a podium as audience members, who can't be seen in the video, shout "shame on you", the Times of Israel reports.

Another person shouts out "my father was killed", according to AFP news agency.
