US President Donald Trump officially returned to the White House on January 21.
Many changes have marked his return, all moving away from the policies former President Joe Biden’s administration put in place.
Soon after taking his oath, Trump signed at least 78 executive orders rescinding the decisions made by the former administration. This was just part of the over 200 expected to be signed.
Key policy issues affected include the suspension of all foreign assistance for 90 days pending reviews.
He pardoned at least 1,500 charged over the January 6 Riots at the Capital, referring to them as hostages.
Just like he promised during his campaigns, Trump has gone hard on illegal immigrants, with various executive orders giving more powers to authorities to arrest, detain, and deport the aliens.
He has gone as far as announcing a state of emergency at the border with Mexico and at 1,500 more US military personnel deployed to help man the area.
Even with all these measures being put in place, world leaders have expressed optimism of better working relations in the coming days.
