Peppertree restaurant located on second floor of Delta Towers along Waiyaki Way in Westlands is a botanical wonderland with amazing Latin-Asian vibes that enchant you from the minute you walk in.
Peppertree officially opened its doors to the public in January 2020 and has been steadily growing ever since. It opens from noon to 8pm from Sunday to Wednesday and noon to 9pm from Thursday to Saturday. It prides itself in being a global grill restaurant that also offers craft cocktails and intercontinental cuisines.
"The name was coined from our idea of being a global eatery. Pepper because it’s a spice that’s used in every single continent and goes with almost every meal and tree because we had already decided on the green aesthetics and the garden feel for the restaurant. On that note, we came up with a name that housed both of our ideas. Thus Peppertree," Alex the managing director of the establishment lets me know.
The interior is aesthetically pleasing and totally Instagram worthy with artistic mural walls, industrial lights, appealing furniture and plants all around the facility.
There’s a little bamboo with black and white marble counter top booths with a hostess who welcomes guests to the facility and guides them to a table, on arrival if necessary.
The ground floor has a rustic, marble and botanical vibe, with lantern like chandeliers in woven hangings donning the ceiling, fresh green leafy hanging plants, marbled counter tops, fairy lights and semi-circular grey cushioned seats with fine polished wooden round tables and golden metallic seats with navy blue cushions.
It is like being in a page out of a Disney movie, with soothing cultural music playing from the speakers.
Peppertree has high open, wall to wall windows which allow ample natural lighting into the premise and good ventilation. They also have roll blinds for when the sun gets a little too0 much over the dining area.
In the ground floor they have an open kitchenette and a bar area where both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are prepared by Briane, the head bartender at the establishment. Briane is really creative, well learned and spontaneous when it comes to the drinks. He’s not only a mixologist but also a world class sommelier. finalist
The restaurant has additional seating space upstairs and the ambience is impeccable. It has an indoor, outdoor feel. With navy blue with rustic vibe, fairy lights entwined in the ceiling and, lots of well placed fresh plants. The balcony is covered in cantilevers to shield diners from harsh climate and to allow them to enjoy the outdoor breeze without worry.
The balcony is lined with pallet seats with huge navy blue cushions and navy blue walls with wooden wall hangings, additional woven seats, wooden tables , hanging industrial lights and lots of outdoor plants both in pots and hanging ones.
And a beautiful view of the busy Westlands town and the rest of Delta Towers.
The staff is really helpful and friendly, giving insights on the meals to have depending on your craving.
The meals are affordable ranging from Sh500 to Sh2,300 and the portions and presentation make every coin totally worth it.
For all the cocktail lovers, the restaurant has happy hour daily from 3pm to 6pm.
They not only offer dine in services but also do takeaways and delivery.
