Twitter is rolling out a feature that is similar to Instagram’s close friends.

This, Twitter says will allow users to send tweets visible to a selected number of people.

The company had begun testing the feature in May but the feature is now available globally in mobile app and desktop.

Users can choose up to 150 followers and non followers to add them in their “Twitter Circle” which can be edited anytime.

However, whoever you choose to add or remove will not be notified of the changes made.

Currently, Twitter says users are limited to have one Twitter circle at a time, however, additional circles may be brought in the future.

How to create your circle.

Step 1

Go to your tweet composer

Step 2

Click the drop-down 3 menu to edit, next to the Twitter Circle option.

Step 3

Select choose audience within the Tweet composer. Max 150 minimum of 1.

Step 4

Search for and choose people you want in your circle or from the recommended list.

Step 5

Draft your Tweet and publish.

How to add or remove members

Step 1

From the main menu, tap Twitter Circle.

Step 2

Under Edit your Twitter Circle, search for and choose people you want in your circle or select someone from the recommended list.

Tap Add or Remove next to their name.

Next time you compose a tweet, you will have the option to toggle between an audience of Everyone or Twitter Circle.
