On Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, all roads led to The Orchid Lounge and Grill along Ngong Road for the ultimate Beer Festival - Tusker Oktobafest.
Gates to the venue opened at 2 pm allowing partygoers to secure their favourite spot to enjoy the night.
The Ultimate Beer Festival kicked off with a set of DJs entertaining the crowd with mastered mixes from different genres of music.
DJ Pierra Makena, Sir M, and Gibbz the Daqchild were among those who elevated the night with their amazing skills on the turn-tables.
As always, DJ Pierra Makena showed up on stage with talented dancers – spicing up her set with a sprinkle of creativity and a touch of extraness.
Kiss FM’s Kwambox was the MC of the night, and she made sure the crowd was fully charged up before any act showed up on stage.
The Sherehe at The Orchid delivered a vibrant celebration of Kenyan beer, music, and culture as all festival goers got to redeem their tickets for any KBL Beer.
Papa Jones delivered an electrifying performance shortly after Nviiris’s set. During his set, he invited Nviiri on stage where they performed their collaboration 'Birthday Song'.
Brigid Wambua, Marketing Manager, Tusker mentioned that the Regional Edition of Tusker OktobaFest 2024 has been a huge success.
“When we started the 2024 Tusker Oktobafest we never imagined it would be this huge. What we had envisioned was something great and what we have achieved is much greater because we listened to what people wanted,” Brigid Wambua.
"You know when you give people what they want they respond well but if you do your own things then you will fail. So we listened and when you look at the feedback we have gotten it's evident that we have covered most of the locations our customers wanted us to reach,”

“This time we decided to make the festival about our customers and going to their doorstop to celebrate with them. Their culture plus what’s relevant to them and that’s why we decided to break it into regional activations that speak to them passionately and intimately,” she added.
Why is Tusker always supporting Kenyan acts and how important is this you the brand? A question was posed to Brigid Wambua.
She replied; “We want to be collaborators of culture and how we shape it and enable our industry and creatives (DJs, Producers & artists) to get a platform to interact with their fans.
“Collectively we had over 100 plus Kenyan creatives take part in the beer festival and this means they had a platform to engage their fans and we want to be supporters of that,” Wambua explained.
On the other hand, Papa Jones also lauded Tusker for always supporting Kenya's talents.
“This is a high-level brand and the minute they inject their support to the Kenyan talents it helps elevate the industry and even motivate creatives to do better and a big shout out to Tusker for putting this together,” Khaligraph Jones said.
He added; “I have always heard a good relationship with people from Tusker and we have been doing it over the years. The experience has been amazing because our fans showed up in numbers to have a good time,”.
“From the first episode of Oktobafest, I have always been proud that we have a festival that supports Kenyan talents fully.
"We are slowly taking over East Africa with this beer festival and I want Tusker to continue holding our hand as creatives,” Nviiri said.
Apart from The Orchid, Tusker Oktobafest also went down at New Big Tree in Mombasa, Bar XO in Runda, Derby Place and Lounge in Karatina, and New Sarvid Gardens along Kiambu Road.
