South African-based Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has met her boyfriend Shakib Lutaaya's parents.
The mother of five said she is ready to take her new relationship to the next level.
"Shakib took me to see his parents and it was so nice," she said.
Zari's relationship with Shakib has been criticised by his online friends because of their age difference.
Zari is 41 years while Shakib is 30.
"He took me to meet his parents and they were so nice, and I don't remember them complaining about the relationship at all," she said, adding that she is not defending herself.
Zari also revealed that she will be adding more babies with Shakib but not because of public pressure.
The news came in shortly after Shakib made it public that he was more than willing to make an honest woman out of Zari.
In September, Zari told a Ugandan blog that Shakib was ready to settle down with her.
"Shakib told me yesterday he wants to meet with my father. He wants to ask for my hand in marriage," she said.
Zari was first spotted in public with her new boyfriend in early June.
Before Shakib, Zari has dated other young men.
Among them is Diamond Platnumz.
She dumped Diamond Platnumz in 2018.
In 2020, Zari introduced her fans to a man called 'Dark Stallion', saying he was her lover.
The relationship did not last long before Zari announced that she had broken up with her mysterious lover.
At the time, Zari said the breakup hurt her but maintained the split was a necessary move since the relationship was not advancing her life in any way.
She then deleted their pictures from her Instagram page.
Zari was also very open to sharing moments spent with Dark Stallion.
She later dated a Ugandan man, GK Choppa, who she said pursued her for three years.
At the time, Zari said Choppa was persistent as he would send her gifts to win her heart.
"I didn’t give him attention. But after some time, I decided to meet him and I realised he has a good heart. He is a good guy," she said.
Zari has five children, three with her late husband Ivanna and two with Diamond Platnumz.
