Grace Wanjiru struck Kenya's third gold and fourth medal at the ongoing World Indoor Masters Athletics championships in Torun, Poland on Tuesday evening.

Wanjiru won the first medal of her career in the 3,000m walk in the 40 years and above category for the third gold.

On Monday, Kenya scooped three medals, two gold, and a silver as the country made its maiden appearance at the championships.

Former national 20km race walk champion Erick Shikuku (3,000m walk) and Kenneth Mburu (8km cross country) struck gold medals while two-time Africa Masters champion Regina Mulatya bagged a silver medal in the long jump on Monday.

Shikuku, who initially dominated Kenya race walking championships won the 300m race walk title while Mburu, the late entrant into the event, was victorious in the 8km cross country (25:32.07). Mulatya cleared 5.46m to finish second in the 45-year-old category.
