Kayole Starlets head coach Mary Adhiambo has revealed they are planning a massive recruitment drive as they prepare for life in Division One.

Adhiambo said they are scouting for quality players who will help them to a quick return to the Football Kenya Federation Women's Premier League, from where they were relegated last season.

“Of the previous players we had last season, only Christine Nana has left, joining Gaspo. However, we still want to beef up the team we have enough talent and experience as we seek a way back to WPL,” said Adhiambo.

She added that the door is still open for those willing to leave.

Adhiambo blamed financial constraints for their failure to keep their WPL status.

“It was a difficult time where we were at times unable to get food for the girls while in camp. It was a huge challenge if you add transport and allowances,” she added.

Kayole finished bottom of the 12-team top tier with a -34-point deficit.

Adhiambo reveals financial constraints will not be an issue his time round especially after securing a sponsor, who will cater for operations.
