Bungoma Queens have moved their remaining matches from Sudi Stadium to Sang’alo Institute of Science and Technology grounds to evade expenses.
Bungoma Queens' head coach Robbert Machiyo said they have been spending over Sh30,000 to use the ground. "You need that amount to hire the venue, mark it, pay security, stewards and the ambulance as well," she revealed.
“As a team, we have resolved to play our matches at our school to cut down costs. This is a strategy to ensure we honour all the remaining matches in the Kenya Women's Premier League," Machiyo said.
He said the change of venue would help them cut the expenses by half.
“Teams in the KWPL aren’t facilitated neither do they have sponsors. So we have to survive with few resources the team has,” he quipped.
