KPA assistant coach Samson Sunguti has admitted they are facing injuries despite beating Trail Blazers 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-15) on Sunday in the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) league match at Nyayo Stadium gymnasium.  

He particularly singled out Kevin Kipchumba's injury incurred in Cairo during their qualifiers as a big blow to the team.

" The absence of Kipchumba is a major factor impacting our strategy. I want to commend the team for securing three sets successfully despite Kipchumba's absence," he noted.

The porters play their decisive match against Trail Blazers today at Moi Stadium, Kasarani Gymnasium. 

The match was originally scheduled for Friday last week but was postponed due to a leaking roof at the indoor arena.

Sunguti hopes Kipchumba will be fit for the third match. "We need to work on  our reception and blocking," he said 

In another encounter, Equity Bank succumbed to former champions General Service Unit (GSU)  1-3 (25-22, 26-28, 18-25, 19-25) on Saturday night. 

GSU's victory secured them a spot in the last four alongside Kenya Prisons and Kenya Defence Forces.

Kenya Prisons too dominated their quarterfinal matchup against KDF, securing a commanding 3-0  (25-17, 25-12, 25-17) victory to earn them a spot in the semis. 

Kenya Pipeline women's team continued their dominant run, beating Postbank 3-0 victory (25-10, 25-6, 25-8) to advance to the semis

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) rallied from a set down to secure a 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-14) win over Nairobi Prisons.

At Nyayo Stadium, reigning champions KCB beat Kenya Army 3-1  (25-17, 25-16, 20-25, 25-20) to reach the semis.
