Tusker FC’s head coach Charles Okere said: “We are delighted to welcome Luke back to Tusker FC. He is a player with great potential and his previous experience with us will be valuable. We believe his addition will give us a boost as we continue to push for success in the league and other competitions.”
On his part, Namanda said: “It feels great to be back at Tusker FC, where I have always felt at home. I’m looking forward to helping the team achieve our goals. When I left Tusker in 2021 we were league champions. I am coming back and I hope I can return with the same touch and win trophies. I can’t wait to start and give my best to the fans and club.”
On the signing of Simiyu, coach Okere said: “He is a player we have keenly followed throughout the first leg of the National Super League and we are optimistic he brings with him a lot of potential. We know he has what can spur our forward line and will bring the necessary competition to the team.”
Simiyu is the current NSL top scorer with 13 goals and six assists. He has signed a twoyear contract with the Ruaraka-based side.
“I am excited to join Tusker FC because this is a big step in my career. This is a winning team and the mentality is quite brilliant. As a player, you always want to step up in your career and this is the one for me. When we had a conversation with the coach, I was immediately sold on the project and since he feels I will be an integral member of his team, It gives me more confidence. I am excited about what is ahead,” Simiyu told the club’s official.
